Academic readings
Classes have started again at Cornell so we are slowly getting the show on the road again. Those of you who are into reading some interesting academic papers on 'systems' should visit these class websites:
Advanced systems (CS614):
Robbert is teaching this
seminar which mainly consist of reading classical systems papers from memory
management to fault-tolerance, from file systems to the ordering of clocks. Robbert has done a great of selecting a collection of solid fundamental papers.
Many of the papers can be downloaded if you scroll down the class description website.
Systems Lunch:
Gun and
Andrew are in charge of our weekly
discussion meeting, where all systems students and faculty come together to discuss a recent paper. Last semester we read most of the OSDI papers before the conference even happened, as well as some ASPLOS papers. This semester's paper line up can found here
