Finally I am capable of driving my wonderful Samsung 240T at its full digital resolution. The 24" LCD can handle 1920x1200 which is outside of the official DVI bandwidth. But the Matrix Parhelia delivers on its promise to run this resolution through the use of reduced banking at 52Hz. The crispiness and clarity of the screen is dazzling, and when compared to the Apple Cinema display this one is vastly superior, already when only using the analog interface.
A result of my quest for a graphics card that can drive the display I have become to believe that card vendors are in the same league as wireless telephone companies, they promise everything but hardly ever deliver. For example the card I tried before this one was the ATI FireGL Z1 ($425) promised to deliver on the resolution, but forgot to mention that above 1600x1200 it only works through the dvi-to-analog adapter.

It can also run the 240T at 1920x1200 @ 52Hz, but we think there's something about this low refresh rate that strains the yes, especially when reading text. How has your experience been so far with the resolution?

It has run on several different cards over DVI (with some driver experimentation and sometimes use of Powerstrip); I am currently running it on an ATI RADEON 9700. In the past I've run it on Parhelia and an older NVIDIA card.
My only complaint about the 240t is that sometimes the backlight emits a faint whine. Some people can't seem to hear it, but I can.
It is by far the best large LCD I have used, and I have used many since the original SGI 1600SW, including the 23" ACD and Sony.
