LazyWeb: Tablet Login Problem

I have lost the ability to use the pen at my login screen on the tablet. After I login I can use the pen again. The problem started after the display driver crashed when trying to set different refresh rates for LCD and external monitor. The problem is annoying as I now have to use a mouse or keyboard to login.

Any suggestions how to solve this? The tablet is a NEC LitePad.
