Don is doing a very long intro into trying to make the case for service orientation. I am not sure how good the argument he tries to make is, except for the point about respecting boundaries. He did this while invading the privacy of a volunteer. He makes a point I have made many, many times before: that we do not look at the real world interactions when building our systems.
